A Two-alarm blaze tore through a Chinatown building Friday - leaving many residents without a home and injuring six firefighters, authorities said.

The flames ignited inside the five-story apartment building on Oliver St. near Henry St. about 5:20 p.m., Fire Department officials said.

More than 100 firefighters spent over an hour battling the raging inferno, which gutted the top two floors of the building, officials said.

Six smoke eaters were transported to New York Downtown Hospital with minor injuries.

The cause of the fire - which charred about 10 apartments - was still under investigation Friday night.
