  1. WTC Health Week Hosted by September Space
    WTC Health Week will be held from March 6th through the 10th. Programs will be run at different times between 12:00pm and 6:00pm @ September Space Lower Manhattan, 11 Broadway, 11th Floor.   2. FDNY vs. Police Boxing Tournament Benefit
    Sat March 4 @ 8pm (doors open at 6:30 pm) @ Danbury Sheraton Ballroom. Exit 2 in Ct., off of I84 (just over the NY line). Special “Fight of the Night Award” presented to Sgt. Michael Sheerin (NYPD member battling Lou Gehrig’s Disease), Hometown Hero award to Captain Lou Albano, member of the WWF Wrestling Hall of Fame. In addition there will be former Boxing World Champions Iran Barkley, Emile Griffith, Vito Antefuermo, Tracey Patterson, Juan La Porte and Carlos Ortiz. Tix $25.   3. Burn Center Camp Phoenix: Volunteers Needed!!
    Spring event of Camp Phoenix - a camp for pediatric burn survivors (ages 7-12). Sponsored by the New York Firefighters Burn Center Foundation, New York Presbyterian Hospital Burn Center, and the Medical Students of Cornell University on Saturday, March 11, 2006 10:00 am – 4:00 pm at Gwendolyn Powell Brown Computer School (PS 242)134 West 122nd Street (corner of 122nd and 7th Ave). Free day of games, food and fun for pediatric burn survivors. Many look up to and want to become firefighters.   4. Joseph Grzelak Scholarship Bowl-a-thon

  5. FDNY Baseball Team Tryouts
    Apr 8 and 9 @ Forest Hills High School, Queens at 4PM. 50 game schedule plus tournaments and charity game against NYPD at Keyspan Park in June.   6. FD-PD Hockey Game Change of Date

  7. Blood Drive at FDNY - NYPD Hockey Game
    Taking place before and during the FDNY / NYPD Hockey Game Sat April 8, 8:30 AM – 2:00 PM at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, Uniondale.   9. FDNY - MIA Patches / Flags Available
    FDNY / MIA shoulder patches and flags are currently available for ordering. The design features a FF in the shadow of the World Trade Center and is available in a number of sizes, including 2 Ft X 3 Ft Flags, shoulder patches, antenna flags and window decals.   10. NYC Firefighters Golf Tour
    The second year of the NYC FF Golf Tour is closely approaching and recruitment is currently taking place for both active and retired members.   11. FDNY Boxing Smoker
    Fri April 21st at 8pm the FDNY Boxing Bravest will host a smoker at Christ the King High School, 69-02 Metropolitan Avenue, Middle Village, Queens. Tickets: $20 for General Admission. 1/2 of proceeds will be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project. For more info log on to www.FDNYBOXING.com.
