Political Leaders Forget Sacrifice of Firefighters On 9/11

Kenny Speecht is passionate about the health concerns associated with those who worked on or around the pile in the wake of the attacks on New York on September 11, 2001. Watching his brothers become ill and die while family and friends have suffered, Speecht joined others in a rally at Ground Zero yesterday.

Congress has refused to pass James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act which would provide $10 billion to pay for health issues of those who worked for weeks in the attack and murders of citizens and 343 firefighters.

FDNY firefighter John McNamara died of cancer. Others have recently died. How many more will have to die in their 30's and 40's before bureaucrats decide to act. This is an indictment of those who call themselves public leaders yet allow the men and women who responded on 9/11 to suffer and die, leaving behind grieving families and friends.

It's imperative Congress pass the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act.
