EAST NEW YORK (WABC) -- A bound man was discovered dead by firefighters battling a suspicious second-alarm house fire in the East New York section of Brooklyn.

The fire broke out inside the Warwick Street home just before 12:30 a.m. this morning.

Firefighters battled the flames, and reportedly found a victim inside the burning home.

Eyewitness News is told the man was severely burned and pronounced dead at the scene. His hands were bound.

Investigators suspect he was killed before the fire, and the blaze was set to cover up the crime.

The Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy today to determine the exact cause of death.

The victim remains unidentified.

Fire officials say the fire is considered suspicious, and the fire marshals are investigating because of heavy volume of fire upon firefighter arrival.

Several firefighters were reportedly treated for minor injuries. 106 firefighters and 25 units responded to the blaze.

Police temporarily closed Warwick Street for their investigation.
