1. 4th Annual Memorial Service at the Firefighters Monument
Sept. 11, the Companies of the 18th Battalion host a memorial service starting at 9:30 am on at the Firefighters Monument , 100th St. & Riverside Drive. The service will include a moment of silence, followed by reading of the names of all 343 brothers who made the supreme sacrifice, and the placing of a wreath. Followed by a 12:15pm Mass at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine at 1047 Amsterdam Ave & 112th St . 2. FDNY Memorial Service Commemorating 5th Anniversary of WTC Attacks
Sun., Sept. 10, from 2pm - 4pm, a Memorial Service will be held at St. Patrick's Cathedral, 5th Avenue at 50th St. Priority seating will be given to the 343 families of victims. Streets will be closed between Madison and 5th Avenues so that the service can be simulcast on Jumbotrons. FDNY is providing bus transportation to the 9/11 event for family members who wish to utilize this service. Some Firehouses plan on securing private busses to transport off-duty members. Dress uniform requested.

3. Walk of Remembrance in Honor of Fr. Mychal Judge.
Sun., Sept 10th, at 8am, Mass in the Upper Church of St. Francis of Assisi , 135 West 31st St , Manhattan . Following the Mass a walk will proceed to Ground Zero stopping at firehouses and precincts, ending at the FDNY Memorial Wall at E10/L10. 4. Memorial Service for 9/11 Queens Firefighters
Fri, Sept 8, 1pm, St. Michael's Cemetery, 72-02 Astoria Blvd., East Elmhurst . Honoring all Firefighters who lived or worked in Queens and were lost on 9/11. The service will be expanded to now include Port Authority Police Department members. Dress uniform requested. For info: 516-383-1963.

5. A Salute to Firefighters
Thurs., Sept 21, 6pm - 10pm presented by Adam's Angels to benefit The Children's Burn Camp Program of the NY Firefighters Burn Center Foundation at Saloon, 1584 York Ave (84th & 85th Sts). 6. Putnam Country Mass of Remembrance
Mon, Sept. 11, 7pm, Mass of Remembrance, St. James the Apostle Church , Carmel , NY followed by a candle light vigil at the Heroes Memorial at the corner of Rt. 52 & Fair St.

7. 3rd Annual FF Harry Ford Memorial Blood Drive & Bone Marrow Testing
Thurs, Sept 14, 3:30pm 9pm, St. Mary's Parish Hall, Park Ave & Monroe Blvd., Long Beach. Eligibility Criteria: Bring valid ID and SS#; Minimum weight 110 pounds; Age 17-76; Eat well (low fat) & drink fluids; No tattoos for past 12 months. 8. 9/11 Memorial Motorcycle Run
Sun, Sept. 17, E-309/L-159 & E-321 host the 5th Annual 9/11 Memorial Motorcycle Classic honoring Battalion 33 alumni who made the supreme sacrifice on 9/11. Event open to all riders, proceeds going to local charities. Sign-in 9am, Marine Park , Avenue U & 33rd St , Brooklyn . FDNY "GET FIT" PROGRAM: The FDNY Health & Fitness Unit and New York Sports Club have a great membership offer for FDNY members and their spouses or life partners. 13. FDNY Baseball Team Recruitment Gathering
Mon., Sept., 18, 8:30pm, BAR 12, 34th St bet 2nd & 3rd Aves, the FDNY Baseball team invites anyone interested in playing with the team for the upcoming 2007 season. The team will be heading off to Columbus , Ohio on September 19th for a tournament at Cooper Stadium home of the AAA Yankee affiliate Columbus Clippers. 14. FDNY Volleyball Recruiting for Australia Competition
Going to Australia in March for the World Police & Fire Games and looking for new players. Previously represented the FDNY proudly in Barcelona , Stockholm , Indianapolis & Quebec City . The teams travel to participate in regional, national and international tournaments and also play in local leagues with both the 'A' and 'B' teams throughout the year. Some previous volleyball experience is required. Practices will begin taking place Tuesday nights in early October at Queens College Gym.
