FDNY Battles Flames at New Dorp Residence

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y.-- The FDNY responded Sunday to a report of a fire on a residential street in New Dorp.

The incident was reported at about 1:50 p.m. at 32 3rd Street, where first-responders discovered flames in the rear of a two-story, private dwelling, according to a spokesman for the department.

The fire reportedly was placed under control by about 2:20 p.m., and no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remained under investigation, as of Sunday night, the spokesman said.
