A retired FDNY battalion chief, who lost his son during the 9/11 terror attacks, has died from the coronavirus, a report says.

Albert Petrocelli died early Wednesday — just over a week after being confirmed to have the pandemic COVID-19, according to the Staten Island Advance.

The 73-year-old from Huguenot joined the FDNY in 1973 and rose the rank of FDNY Battalion Chief, the report says.

His son, Mark, followed in his footsteps, becoming a firefighter in Ladder Company 105. Mark, 28, was in a meeting on the 92nd floor of WTC 1 when the terror attacks occurred.
