Firefighters Battle 2-Alarm Blaze in Prince's Bay - March 09, 2020

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y -- Firefighters battled a two-alarm blaze Friday night in Prince’s Bay.

No injuries were reported as a result of the fire that broke out around 5:21 p.m. on Foothill Court in the Maguire Woods development, according to a spokesman for the FDNY.

Firefighters took about an hour to battle the blaze bringing it under control by 6:29 p.m., according to the spokesman. The FDNY initially reported it as a fire on the building’s deck, but later changed it to a fire in the basement.

After the fire went to an all-hands call around 5:32 p.m., it was changed to a two alarm around 6:08 p.m. According to the FDNY spokesman, about 106 personnel responded to the scene.
