An 11-year-old girl was killed in fire that broke out in her Brooklyn apartment late Monday ― the fourth fatality in a day of devastating blazes around the city.
Firefighters pulled Shirr Teved from the first floor of her home on Ocean Parkway near Foster Ave. in Midwood about 10:30 p.m. while battling a two-alarm fire, cops said.
Medics took the unconscious girl to Maimonides Medical Center, bust she couldn’t be saved.
One firefighter was also seriously injured battling the blaze, an FDNY spokesman said. Firefighters brought the flames under control at about 11:50 p.m. The cause of the blaze remained under investigation early Tuesday.
Three others were found dead in fires in the Bronx, Queens and Brooklyn that all erupted in a 30 minute-span earlier Monday.
