STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- The FDNY quickly got a fire under control at a Dongan Hills restaurant on Friday.
The fire was reported at 2:55 p.m. at 1995 Hylan Blvd., which is home to ZaRa Cafe Grill.
According to an FDNY spokesman, the fire was under control at 3:13 p.m. No injuries were reported.
At the scene, water was dripping from the front of the building and broken glass could be seen on the ground near one of the doors.
Damage was visible on a small portion of the building’s exterior on the roof.
The restaurant remained open for business Friday night.
