East Harlem Fire Breaks Out in Vacant Building, FDNY Says

Nobody was injured during the fire, an FDNY spokesman said.

EAST HARLEM, NY — A fire broke out inside a vacant East Harlem residential building Friday morning, an FDNY spokesman said.

Firefighters responded to the five-story building on the corner of East 132nd Street and Madison Avenue to discover flames on the third floor, an FDNY spokesman said. The FDNY had the blaze under control by 10 a.m., fire officials said.

Nobody was injured during the fire, an FDNY spokesman said.
