FDNY Fights House Fire in Midland Beach

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- The FDNY battled a fire at a home in Midland Beach on Friday morning.

About 60 firefighters and 12 units extinguished the “all-hands” blaze in a home on the second floor of 338 Hamden Avenue, according to the FDNY Twitter feed and a spokesman for the FDNY/EMS.

The fire called at 2:51 a.m. was brought under control at 3:35 a.m., according to the spokesman.
