3 Hurt in Overnight Fire at Coney Island Apartment Building

CONEY ISLAND - Several people are hurt, one seriously after a fire in Coney Island overnight.

Firefighters were able to get the fire under control in less than an hour, three people were hurt in the process.

It happened around 1:20 a.m. on the third floor of the building.

Emergency crews were called to 3100 Ocean Parkway, which is a six-story apartment building between Brighton Beach Avenue and Sea Breeze Avenue.

Two people were treated for minor injuries at the scene, but a third person was rushed to the hospital in serious condition.

News 12 is told everything was brought under control right around 2 a.m.

The cause of the flames is under investigation.
