Fire ripped through an Upper West Side brownstone early Friday, killing a dog and injuring seven tenants and a firefighter, according to the FDNY and residents of the building. The cause of the fire was under investigation.

It broke out at about 1:35 a.m. on the second floor of a five-story residential building on W. 76th St. near West End Ave.
