Florian's Knights invites you to close out the riding season by helping those that need it most with the holiday season fast approaching. Please join in tomorrow, October 20, at the Toy Drive and Fundraiser for the Ronald McDonald House of the Hudson Valley and Rockland Homes for Heroes. Registration is from 9:30 - 10:45 am, KSU at 11:00 am. The police escorted ride will start at Ronald McDonald House of the Greater Hudson Valley, 80 Woods Road, Valhalla, NY 10595; ride end point is at Hudson Valley Harley Davidson, 33 Route 304, Nanuet, NY 10954. Donations are $20 per rider with unwrapped gift, $40 per rider with no toy and $10 per passenger. There will be raffles, 50/50, silent auction and live music by The Remedy. From 12:00 - 4:30, an after party with food and drinks will be open to all families. Admission is $10 for those 18 and over and children are free. Additional toy donations are encouraged. The FDNY Holy Name Society will be holding the Captain Timothy Stackpole Annual Mid-Week Retreat at the Bishop Molloy Retreat House in Jamaica, Queens. The retreat will start with dinner at 7 pm, Tuesday, October 23rd and end with breakfast on Thursday, October 25th. For this short period you will be away from the stress of everyday life and enjoy the peace of a safe and serene environment. We want you to come to relax, rest, and find some peace in the presence of God and each other. You may want to come for a "24", stop by for the day, or enjoy a meal and spend some time with your friends in the Department. On Sunday, October 28, the FDNY Anchor Club is sponsoring a "Visit to Calvary Hospital" located at 1740 Eastchester Road, Bronx, NY. The visit will start at 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. Lunch will follow. The event will resume from 2:30 pm - 4:00 pm. The outline for the day includes visiting patients, distributing candy and flowers, and providing some light entertainment.
