FDNY Battles Blaze in Stapleton Apartment

by SILIVE.comSTATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- The FDNY battled a blaze in a Stapleton apartment building Monday afternoon.
The fire was reported on the first floor of 35 Gordon St., a four-story building, according to a Fire Department spokeswoman.
According to the spokeswoman, no injuries were reported.
Firefighters on scene said the blaze broke out in a laundry room.
The fire was brought under control, according to the FDNY on Twitter.
