A three-man FDNY team saved a man from a burning home in Queens on Sunday night.
Lt. Jesse Kinneary and firefighters Ethan Menikoff and George Netz, all of Ladder 164, were answering a call at 247th St. at 43rd Ave. in Little Neck at about 6:15 p.m., when a neighbor told them she smelled smoke coming from inside a two-story home, FDNY sources said.
The firefighters entered the house and saw heavy fire in the back of the building, sources said.
They also heard a faint yelling and ran to find a man in his 50s in a first-floor living room calling for help, sources said.
They pulled the man out, and medics took him to North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset in serious condition.
The blaze started in a kitchen on the first floor, sources said. Its cause is under investigation.
One firefighter suffered minor injuries battling the blaze, sources said.
