2 Men Killed in Bronx Fatal Fire

(AP) -- Fire officials say two men have been killed in a fire on the top floor of a six-story apartment building in the Bronx.

Firefighters responded to the blaze at about 10:30 p.m. on Thursday in New York City's northernmost borough. Fire officials say a 49-year-old man and a 44-year-old man were discovered unconscious inside. Both were transported to local hospitals and pronounced dead on arrival.

Three firefighters were treated for minor injuries.

The fire marshal's office is investigating what sparked the fire.
