Safety Message #05 Rehabilitation "DO's" And "DON'T's"

UFA Health and Safety Officer / Sergeant-at-Arms Bill Romaka wishes to remind the Membership to take their safety responsibilities seriously at all times. We will continue to highlight and remind our members of "safe actions" as spelled out by the Department. Stay well and stay safe!

The FDNY A.U.C. 230, "Medical, Rehabilitation, & Care Procedures" states the following "DO's" and "DON'T's":

    DO:
  1. DRINK COLD FLUIDS...
  2. DRINK DILUTE BEVERAGES...
  3. DRINK UNTIL NEARLY FULL...
  4. CONTINUE DRINKING...
  5. MOVE ABOUT...
    DON'T:
  1. DO NOT DRINK HOT BEVERAGES
  2. DO NOT DRINK CONCENTRATED BEVERAGES...
  3. DO NOT CONSUME SOLID FOOD...
  4. DO NOT CONTINUE WORKING AT A HIGH RELATIVE INTENSITY...
