Safety Message - Flu

UFA Health & Safety Officer / Sergeant-at-Arms Michael Schreiber would like to encourage all members to take precaution this winter season.

Ensuring the health and safety of the membership is our priority. Remember to continue to make it yours!

Flu season is upon us yet again. The CDC is anticipating the possibility of a bad flu season based on the strain that has already hit the southern hemisphere. Members are reminded that they have the option to receive the flu shot from a number of different locations. Taking this proactive step could prevent you or a family member the unpleasant consequences of influenza.

  • Flu shot will be available to all members at the next Union Meeting, Oct 12th
  • Walk into BHS between 8am-1pm
  • Upcoming Bio Pod Drill Oct 21
  • Annual medical
  • At your scheduled WTC appointment

Washing hands frequently will help prevent the spread of the Virus. Symptoms include sore throat, productive cough, body aches, fever and possibly pneumonia to name a few. If you have symptoms, seek medical attention.
