Events, Help, Fundraisers & Benefits: Delegate Educational Seminar Deadline Approaching If you have not returned your properly filled out Seminar registration form and payment yet, keep in mind that after April 3rd you'll need to make your reservation by credit card direct with the hotel at the full-price per-night rate--if rooms are still available. Please note that the UFA can only accept your discounted reservation by check (not by phone). If you are a new Delegate, this is an extremely important seminar that will help educate you on many matters of importance to your members and their families, including health, safety, work issues & financial matters. More info can be found on the UFA website at www.UFANYC.org. So hurry up. Return your reservation form (previously mailed to Delegates) in the prepaid envelope before April 3rd--and save $$. Back To Top UFA Line-of-Duty Funeral Fund Trip Your UFA LOD Funeral Fund recently sent members to the funeral services for the following FF who made the supreme sacrifice: Lieutenant Brenda Cowan of Lexington, KY FD (Local 526) Wednesday, Feb 18. FF Daniel McGuinn E-45, Gerard Sweeney L-58, Mark Babcock E46, Matt Zimpfer L-27, Daniel Lopuzzo E-48 and Matt Miller L-56 attended. (The Committee just voted to increase the number of members attending the funerals to six, two members from three firehouses at a time). These members proudly represented our membership in tribute to these fallen heroes. North Moore Street between Broadway & Varick in Manhattan. All off-duty members and their families are invited to attend as a mark of respect to the deceased. Paul Martini, FF Greg Buck, FF John Schardt and FF Christopher Pickford will be held on March 27th from 7pm to 1am at OLPH Notre Dame Hall located at 550 59th Street, between 5th & 6th Avenues, Brooklyn, NY 11220. $30 donation at the door will be exchanged for $50 in chips. Food and beverage included. Proceeds going to the NY Firefighter's Burn Center, the Thomas Elsasser Fund, and E201 Memorial Fund. Chips and/or tokens cannot be exchanged for cash.
