In continuation of our efforts to obtain a fair contract for our members, the UFA and PBA will be conducting ‘pop-up’ picketing of Mayor Bloomberg in floating locations based on where Bloomberg will be. The UFA needs for each borough to have at least 20 stand-by members available on stand-by each day between the hours 0700 and 2000 (a day can be broken into several stand-by shifts). Delegates, Battalion Delegates and firehouses will be contacted by their Trustees and/or by telephone broadcasts when needed for activation. The UFA is counting on Battalion and Company Delegates to have members available on a moments notice as we may need to move quickly and on very short notice.
