FDNY Soccer Club & Kids Clinic Benefit
On October 23rd, the FDNY Soccer Club will be hosting the third annual Barclays Capital Soccer Tournament and Kids Clinic to benefit the Firefighter Sergio Villanueva Scholarship Foundation. Please refer to item #10 in 65-2 #73 of 2004 (dated September 24th, 2004) for details.

Hispanic Society Scholarship Award Ceremony / Dance
The Hispanic Society will host its Annual Scholarship Award Ceremony/Dance on Friday, October 8, at Ricarrdo's, at 21-01 24th Avenue in Astoria (Queens). All members of the Department and families are invited. Contact Lieutenant Miguel A. Ramos at 718-999-2626 for tickets ($65 ea.)

Capt. Timothy Stackpole & FF Michael Brennan Memorial Golf Outing
The 6th Annual St. Francis Prep Homecoming Weekend Golf Outing and Dinner will be held at Clearview Golf Course & Caffe on the Green on Friday, October 15th, in support of the Capt. Timothy Stackpole and FF Michael Brennan Scholarship Funds. Check-In and Lunch begin at 11:30am, Shotgun starts at 12:30pm. Sponsor opportunities begin at $100 (Tee Sponsor), Journal sponsors begin at $20. Foursome Golf and Dinner Package is $600, Dinner only is $100. Captain Timmy Stackpole Retreat
The Fire Department Holy Name Societies will host their annual Holy Name-Captain Timothy pole Retreat for the FDNY Community, welcoming both active and retired members. This year's theme is "Faith...As Tiny As a Mustard Seed..." and one of the workshops will be on traveling through transitions. Bishop Molloy Passionist Retreat House, 86-45 Edgerton Boulevard (178th Street) Jamaica, Queens from Tuesday, October 19th to Thursday October 21st, 2004. A wonderful opportunity for spiritual growth in one's faith. On Wednesday evening, the annual Memorial Mass will take place for the Deceased Members of the Department. Member Needs Help--Fundraising Comedy Event
The Volunteers of Ground Zero and The American Red Cross present a benefit event for former FDNY member Ralph Geidel, who was diagnosed with throat cancer believed directly attributable to his time working Rescue & Recover at Ground Zero. 7:00pm-Midnight on Saturday, October 16th 2004 at A&M Roadhouse at 57 Murray Street between West Broadway & Church Street-Tribeca. Performers include FDNY comedian Ed Sullivan, Ladder 7 comic Steve Alleva, DSNY's Andrew Macchio ("The Singing Sanitation Man") and many more. Suggested donation is $10.
