1. Lt. John Martinson (E-249) Memorial Picnic
REMINDER: On Saturday, September 18th (Rain or Shine) from 12-6pm at the Hillside Swim Club, located at 151 Signs Rd., Staten Island the Lt. John Martinson Memorial Picnic will be held. 2. Softball Battle of the Badges
REMINDER: On Saturday, September 18th at 11am, at MCU Park located at 1904 Surf Ave there will be a softball battle of the badges tournament between the FDNY, NYPD, PAPD, and NYCD. Tickets: $10. 3. FF Stephen P. Russell (E-55) Memorial Skydive
REMINDER: On Sunday, September 19th, from 10am-4pm, the 3rd Annual FF Stephen P. Russell Memorial Skydive will be held at Blue Sky Ranch, Gardiner, NY (www.skydivetheranch.com). 4. Elsasser One Pitch Tournament
REMINDER: On Tuesday, September 28th, 9:30am, Cunningham Park, 73rd Ave. (btwn. Francis Lewis Blvd & Clearview Expwy) in Queens. E-221/L-104 will host their annual tournament with proceeds going to the Thomas Elsasser Widows' & Children Fund for non-line of duty deaths. 5. E-53/L-43 125th Anniversary Celebration
On Saturday, September 25th at 11am, E-53 will host a 125th Anniversary Celebration in their quarters, located at 1836 Third Avenue, Manhattan. E-53 along with L-43 will also dedicate a 911 Memorial Plaque in the memory of former members Deputy Chief John M. Paolillo, SOC, Captain Frederick J. Ill, Jr. (L-2) and Captain David T. Wooley (L-4). In addition, a Memorial Wall will be unveiled in the memory of Lt. Michael P. Murphy, Navy Seal and Medal of Honor recipient, Afghanistan, and friend of "El Barrios Bravest". All off-duty members and their families are invited to attend. Members are requested to attend in dress uniform.
