UFA Members Needed for Rally to Save Pensions 6 to 8pm Today!

(Last night's request from LA FFs)

UFA members are needed to join Los Angeles County, CA Local 1014 and other California Professional Firefighters in their fight against Governor Arnold Swarzenegger and his plan to eliminate public employee pensions in the state of California.  If he is successful, not only will firefighters in California potentially lose or significantly reduce the pensions they have earned by risking their lives throughout their public service careers, a Swarzenegger win in California will embolden others to go after the pensions of fire fighters in every state.  Today,  Monday, March 7, UFA members can greet Swarzenegger in New York at the  "21 Club" which is located at 21 W 52nd St (b/t 5th and 6th).  The event kicks off at 6 pm and will run till 8 pm.

Please make an effort to join our Brother and Sister firefighters from California along with the Professional Nurses of California in their fight to save their pensions.  Politicians in NY are watching this fight closely.  We must send them the message that any stripping of our hard earned pensions benefits will result in swift retaliation against those politicians.

Fraternally.

President

Recording Secretary
