Capt. Scott LaPiedra Memorial Race
On Sunday, April 24, 2005, at 1000 hours: the annual running of "Scott's Race" in memory of Captain Scott LaPiedra. The 5-K run will begin at Clove Lakes Park, Staten Island. Entry fee is $15, $20 for race day entries. A quarter mile "Kids Run" will begin at 1100 hours, free to all children under 12. A post race party will follow. Bravest Baseball Fundraiser
Bravest Baseball will have a fundraiser party on April 21at 8pm and is sponsored by Artaid at The Salty Dog in Brooklyn located on 3rd Ave and 75 St. The fundraiser will raise money for the team as well as the Thomas Elsasser Fund. FDNY Bravest Charity Boxing Show
Help Our Heroes. Friday, April 1st at Christ the King High School, 68-02 Metropolitan Ave, Middle Village. $20 donation. Doors open at 7pm. First bout 8pm sharp. Half of all ticket sales will be donated to "Wounded Warrior Project" which supports our troops returning home from Iraq and Afghanistan with serious injuries. Sponsored by Budweiser, sanctioned by USA Metro Boxing.

Fundraiser Party for Heroes Fund, in Queens
To benefit the families of the firefighters who died or were injured in the line of duty on January 23rd, 2005. March 13th. 2pm - 9pm. Killarney's Cottage, 63-28 Woodhaven Blvd, Queens (South of the LIE on Woodhaven Blvd). Live music by blue's band "Body & Soul". Special guest bands include Eugene Ho, Jack and the C's, Square Rooters and for the really brave who wish to sing , open mic! Free buffet. 50/50 raffle.
