1. FF Thomas J. Foley Memorial Scholarship
The Firefighter Thomas J. Foley Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 2001 as a tribute to an American hero who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001. The program is intended to provide a lasting legacy to the life of firefighter Thomas J Foley by assisting the children of fellow FDNY firefighters in meeting the expenses of post-secondary educational costs. College Scholarships offered for students enrolling in an accredited two or four year college or university within the continental United States.
Must be the dependent child of an active or retired FF or Officer, whose parent or legal guardian has a minimum of one full year of service at the time of application. Must be a high school graduate planning to enter college this fall.

2. Jeff Giordano Memorial 5K Run
On Sunday, June 20th at 9am, the 9th Annual Jeff Giordano Memorial 5K Run will be held at the Mount Loretto MIV Retreat Center, Hylan Blvd. and Cunningham Road, Staten Island, NY. Jeff's Run has taken the place of the FF Al Ronaldson Run as a member of the Staten Island Triple Crown Series. All proceeds benefit the FF Jeff Giordano Children's Playroom at the Cornell Burn Center.
3. Splish Splash Water Park Discount Tickets Available
Long Island's Waterpark located at Exit 72 West, Long Island Expressway, Riverhead, NY (631) 727-3600, www.splishsplashlongisland.com. 18 water slides, wavepool, lazy river, kiddie area and more! 4. SBF Benefits for College Students
In order to receive SBF benefits, parents of children attending college need to provide the Security Benefit Fund (SBF) with the following: 1. A letter EACH SEMESTER from the school registrar, ON SCHOOL LETTERHEAD, listing the student's name and acknowledging he/she is taking 12 or more credits. 2. A copy of a paid tuition bill from the college for each semester. These items are necessary for the SBF to provide the proper benefits to the children of firefighters.
