Fundraising Efforts Applauded FDNY VFW Trip To Washington DC

As a result of the generous donations collected from the membership, the FDNY VFW will be heading to Washington DC tomorrow to donate a Handcrank Bicycle to the Occupational and Physical Therapy Ward of Walter Reed Medical Center. The piece of equipment will help facilitate the recovery of our Veterans who are currently at the Center rehabilitating from their injuries.

On Thursday October 20th at 1415 hours, 30 members of the FDNY VFW will also be attending a ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery to place a wreath in honor of the 1131 FDNY members who have been killed in the line-of-duty.

The trip was organized by the members of the FDNY VFW and they wish to express their gratitude to all who have assisted in fundraising efforts for the donation to the Hospital.

More info will be available at www.FDNYVFW.com.

Fraternally.
