The UFA and the City, after a negotiation session with the Office of Labor Relations, came to a tentative agreement today on the contract. The UFA Executive Board will be announcing the details of the agreement at a press conference at City Hall today. More info regarding the contract will be sent to fire-houses throughout the day. The value of the tentative agreement is 17.5% compounded over 50 months, retroactive to June 1, 2002 and runs through July 31, 2006. In addition to the raise, the UFA successfully negotiated the increase in the number of 5-man engines from 60 to 64. There will be a Battalion Delegate Meeting held on Tuesday, November 1st at 11:00 at the UFA office to discuss the contract. Fraternally.
