1. Firehouse Cooks Challenge NYC's Top Chefs
   September Space's 4th Annual Iron Skillet Cook Off, FDNY's top chefs compete against NYC's finest chefs on Mon. Nov 7th @ 6pm at Strata Restaurant, 915 Broadway at 21st Street. Proceeds go to September Space, a community center and support network for rescue and relief workers, volunteers and all those impacted by the attacks on the World Trade Center. . 2. Reminder : Election Day
   Don’t forget that Election Day is November 8th. All members are urged to cast their vote in the upcoming elections. A complete list of candidates who have been endorsed by the UFA is available by clicking HERE.
   
   
3. Annual Turkey Trot
   The 27th Annual Turkey Trot Run, sponsored by the Officers and Members of Engine 233 and Ladder 176 will be held on Nov 22 at 11:30 AM in Flushing Meadows Park at the Avery Avenue Exit. The 3.1 mile race helps raise funds for charitable causes that benefit the members of the New York City Fire Department. $20 fee incl. the race, a long sleeve t-shirt, food and beverages. 4. Want to Play on the FDNY Volleyball Teams?
   They have represented the FDNY proudly in the World Police and Fire Games in Barcelona, Stockholm, Indianapolis & Quebec City. The teams travel to participate in regional, national and international tournaments and also play in local leagues with both the 'A' and 'B' teams throughout the year.
