Two Injured in Morris Heights Fire

NY 1 - February 07, 2010

Two people are recovering in the hospital after being pulled from an apartment fire in the Morris Heights section of the Bronx early this morning. The fire broke out around 3:45 a.m. in the kitchen of a second floor apartment on West Tremont Avenue.

Fire officials say firefighters forced the door open and found a man and a woman inside, both unconscious.

They were brought outside and resuscitated.

Both were taken to Jacobi Hospital.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
