Omelette Fire Kills Man

NY Daily News

An ailing 61-year-old man trying to make an omelette early yesterday died when his clothes caught fire.

Neighbors ran into Ronald Lang's apartment at 207 E. 15th St. about 6 a.m., but couldn't save him. He had burns to about 90% of his body and died at New York-Presbyterian Hospital. Firefighters saved the man's dog, a Chihuahua-mix.
