1. FDNY Holy Name Society - Captain Timothy Stackpole (R-2) Annual Retreat
On Tuesday, October 14th beginning at 7pm through Thursday, October 16th the FDNY Holy Name Society will be holding the Captain Timothy Stackpole Annual Retreat at the Bishop Molloy Retreat House in Jamaica, Queens. To confirm attendance call the retreat house at 718-739-1229.
2. BC Jack Fanning Memorial Foundation
On Friday, October 17th, 7:30pm, the Jack Fanning Memorial Foundation will hold its 5th Annual Dinner Dance at the North Hills Country Club in Manhasset. The BC Jack Fanning Memorial Foundation, "Angels For Autism," offers hope to families with autistic children. Tickets: $125. A raffle will also be held. 3. Friends of Firefighters Fundraiser: Price Update
On Wednesday, October 22nd from 6pm-9pm at the Fire Museum located 278 Spring Street in Manhattan Friends of Firefighters will be hosting a Fundraiser. Tickets: NEW special rate to firefighters: $100 for FF's, $50 for FF's who attend in class A’s. Proceeds go to the Friends of Firefighters Fund. For more info call 718-643-0980.
4. FDNY Steuben Association Oktoberfest 2008
On Saturday, October 25th, 7:30pm, at Plattdeutsche Park Restaurant, 1132 Hempstead Turnpike, Franklin Square, NY. Tickets: $65 per person in advance. 5. E-332/L-175 Bradford Street 4 (BS4) Fundraiser
On Saturday, November 1st, 4-8pm, at Mulcahy's in Wantagh, L.I. (c/o of Railroad Ave. & Wantagh Ave. across the street from the L.I.R.R. station). The fundraiser is for 4 brothers, Lt Mike Lopez (E-332), Lt Bernie Cornell (E-332), FF Nick Montalto (E-332), and FF Kevin Lennon (L-175), who have been diagnosed with various cancers. All four brothers worked on 9/11/01 and there after. Donation: $50 at the door includes food, drinks, live music, 50/50, and a new car raffle. Proceeds will be used to help offset medical cost.
