1. FamilyLife Free Marriage Conference
FamilyLife, the nationally known leader in marriage conferences, offers again this Fall, an opportunity for all FDNY members and spouses to attend a free marriage conference. This conference will offer you an opportunity to improve communication, inspire commitment and increase closeness in your marriage. Topics during the conference will include: threats to great marriage, effective communication, conflict resolution, marriage roles, parental responsibility, God's purpose for marriage, developing a satisfying sex life, and modeling a healthy relationship for your children. The conferences will be held at the locations and dates listed below. FamilyLife will cover the cost of your hotel and conference registration. 2. 8th Annual FDNY Night at Keyspan Park
REMINDER: On Friday, July 25th at 7pm, the Brooklyn Cyclones will play the Staten Island Yankees at 1904 Surf Ave. B'klyn. Tickets: $15 each for grandstand, $10 each for bleacher seats. There will be pre-game activities beginning at 6pm. Proceeds go to the UFA Scholarship Fund. For more info call Fire Marshal Bob Cashman, 718-999-0740.


3. 'A-Team' High School Scholarships
REMINDER: The family and friends of Lt. Joseph Cavalieri, FF Christopher Bopp & FF James Bohan have established the A-Team Scholarship in their memory. The scholarship competition is open to any child of an active or retired member of the UFA or UFOA. The scholarship will award a freshman entering a private H.S. in September 2008 five hundred ($500) dollars each year. The student must submit an essay describing why they want to attend the particular private H.S. The student must maintain a C or better average throughout H.S. Applicants must also submit an essay with parent's name, address, phone number and work unit. Postmark deadline: August 6, 2008. All info must be submitted to: A-Team Scholarship FDNY, P.O. 4. 9th Annual FDNY vs. NYPD Baseball Game
