A Manhattan man was in critical condition Wednesday night after suffering smoke inhalation during a fire in his apartment, fire officials said.

The victim, a man in his 60s, left something on the stove in his upper West Side pad at about 6 p.m., and flames quickly spread. Firefighters found him facedown and naked.

He was taken to St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center. The fire is still under investigation.
