NEW YORK (1010 WINS/AP) -- Authorities say two people have been injured in a fire that swept through the third floor of a building in lower Manhattan.
Firefighters pulled the unidentified victims from the building shortly after the blaze broke out Saturday afternoon. One of the victims was seriously injured.
The two have been taken to New York Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medical Center.
A fire department spokesman says the fire didn't spread beyond the third floor of the six-story building on the FDR Drive near East Tenth Street.
Firefighters had to use a ladder truck to save the two people.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
