Firefighters climbed to a third-story window and rescued three young children and their grandmother from a burning Brooklyn building Thursday, fire officials said.

The children, 4, 2 and 6 months, were trapped behind child safety bars in the windows of their Bushwick apartment when the blaze broke out in a building stairwell about 3:40 p.m.

Firefighters Mark Loftus and Rory Allen climbed a ladder and ripped off the gates.

They then carried all four victims down to the street below.

The family members were taken to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, where they were all in stable condition Thursday night.
