Three Alarm Fire Kills One Person in Rosedale, Queens

At least one person was killed in a three-alarm fire that destroyed a two-family home in Rosedale, Queens. The New York City Fire Department says the call came in at 4:58 a.m. for a fire at the house at 262nd Street and 149th Road.

The second floor collapsed onto the first floor. The cause of the fire was unknown.

The fire department says the fire was under control by 6:20 a.m.

A spokesman for the fire department couldn"t confirm any more than one dead - but he said "It looks bad and is probably worse than that."
