1. 25th Annual FDNY Vikings Dinner Dance & Scholarship Awards
Friday, Oct 19, at the Island Chateau, 900 West Fingerboard Road, Staten Island. Cocktail hour begins at 7:30pm. The Vikings will be honoring FDNY Chaplain Everett Wabst for his outstanding work, generosity, and concern for our membership. The Vikings will be presenting their 2007 scholarships to award winners. 2. The NYC Fire Museum Firehouse Tasting and Auction Fundraiser
REMINDER: On Wednesday, Oct 24, from 6-9pm at 278 Spring St, NY. Celebrate 20 years of FDNY's Museum. Enjoy food from FDNY chefs, music from John Clacher's Famous Firehouse Four, and prizes. 3. FDNY Anchor Club
The FDNY Anchor Club is sponsoring a "Visit to Calvary Hospital" located at 1740 Eastchester Road, Bronx, on Sunday, Oct 28 from 11am-4pm. Activities for the day include visiting patients, distributing candy and flowers, and providing some light entertainment. All off-duty members, their families and friends are invited to participate. 4. NYC Marathon
Any member running in this year's NYC Marathon, who would like to use the Department's bus, is asked to call the Health & Fitness Unit, 212-360-4451, ASAP to reserve a seat. A limited number of seats are available. The bus will be leaving from Park Central Hotel, at 57th St & 7th Ave at 6:30am on Marathon Sunday, Nov 4.
