Six Firefighters Injured in Queens Fire

NEW YORK -- New York City fire officials say six firefighters were injured at a house fire in Woodhaven on Monday.

The fire broke out around 7 p.m. in a home on 97th Avenue and took almost an hour to bring under control.

Officials said one firefighter was rushed to Cornell Medical Center with second degree burns to the head and five other were treated for minor injuries at Jamaica Hospital.

None of the residents were injured.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
