Six Firefighters Injured In Far Rockaway Blaze

(Far Rockaway-WABC, May 12, 2004) — Six firefighters are recovering from minor injuries they suffered while battling an early morning fire in Queens.

That fire destroyed most of the interior of the Calvary Parish Church in Far Rockaway.

The injured firefighters were treated at a nearby hospital.

Some others were treated at the scene. The cause of the fire is still unknown.
