UFA Scholarship Fund Application Guidelines 2007

Scholarship Fund Application Form - Deadline is October 5th

Qualifications:

  • Applicants must be enrolled in college, trade or vocational school currently or by September, 2007.
  • High school students are ineligible for awards.
  • Dependent children of active, retired or deceased Firefighters, Fire Marshals or Marine Wipers who are full-time students up to and including age 23 are eligible to receive scholarship awards for undergraduate education.
  • Dependent children, spouses of LOD deceased UFA members, and dependent children of non-LOD deceased UFA members will receive automatic scholarship awards for undergraduate and/or post-graduate education, but must still fill out an application and provide proof of enrollment.
  • A limited number of scholarships are available for active UFA members and their spouses for undergraduate education.
To Apply:
  • Proof of enrollment, in the form of a letter from the school or copy of a paid tuition bill, must be submitted along with application.
  • Do not fax applications! Avoid unnecessary delay and ensure receipt of your application by mailing application and proof of enrollment by US POSTAL SERVICE RETURN RECEIPT to:

Awards:
  • Each scholarship award will be in the amount of $600.
  • Award checks will be mailed to address provided on application, not to the school.
