(1010 WINS) NEW YORK Four firefighters who were injured when they jumped from the fourth-floor window of a burning Bronx building are being honored at the New York Athletic Club's fight night event.
Firefighters Jeffrey Cool, Joseph DiBernardo, Eugene Stolowski and Brendan Cawley will be honored tonight before boxing bouts pitting the athletic club team against police and firefighter teams at a Manhattan gymnasium.
The four firefighters were hurt when they had to leap to safety from the burning building in January. Three of them have retired because of their injuries. Two of their colleagues were killed.
