NYC Bravest Heroes At Toronto Airport

1010 Wins

(1010 WINS) NEW YORK Two of New York's bravest are being credited with saving the life of a man having a heart attack in an airport in Canada last night.

Firefighter Christopher Viola and retired firefighter Christopher LaRocca got off a flight in Toronto when they saw a man lying on the floor. He was turning blue and not breathing.

They immediately performed CPR and then used a defibrillator to revive him. The firefighters said by the time they left the revived man was talking to them.

A spokeswoman for the Toronto Airport Authority said thanks to the quick action of the two firefighters the man was in stable condition today.

The two had flown to Toronto for a fire department hockey tournament.
