At least 10 people were hurt after a six-alarm fire broke out Monday afternoon at a mattress factory in the Bushwick section of Brooklyn.

About 220 firefighters from 60 units battled the stubborn blaze that erupted at the Paradise Mattress Factory shortly after 3 p.m.

The fire, at 781 Bushwick Ave., filled the area with thick, dark-gray smoke that could be seen miles away in the Astoria and Long Island City sections of Queens.

Nine firefighters were injured; at least one was treated at a hospital. One civilian was treated at the scene and sent home.

It took firefighters more than three hours to bring the blaze under control.
