PLAQUE DEDICATION
On Thursday, October 25, 2018, at 1100 hours, a Plaque Dedication will be held honoring the memory of Firefighter Robert M. Tilearcio, E-266, who died on October 25, 2017. The dedication will take place in the quarters of E-266, 97-20 Rockaway Beach Blvd., Rockaway Beach, NY. All off-duty members and their families are invited to attend. Members are requested to attend in dress uniform.


50 YEAR REUNION
A 50 year reunion for members in the September 14, 1968 probationary firefighter class will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2018. Interested members can call retired BC Jack Kleehaas at 347-235-4733.

STEUBEN ASSOCIATION NEW YORK CITY FIRE DEPARTMENT OKTOBERFEST 2018
Saturday, October 27th, 7:30 pm - midnight. Honoring 'Big Dave' Schleyer (Ladder 116). To be held at the Plattduetsche Park Restaurant (In the Grand Ballroom), 1132 Hempstead Tpke, Franklin Square, NY 11010. Valet Parking. Business casual attire please or your best German style outfit. A great party with DJ Danny Fanto (Ladder 152). Bavarian Dancers and Singer Maria Meier. Price $90 in advance or $100 at the door. Open bar - top shelf liquor, includes domestic and imported beers with wines and soda. Cocktail hour followed by an extravagant German buffet ending with apple streudel and coffee and tea. ANNUAL CITY HARVEST CANNED FOOD DRIVE
The Fire Department is proud to once again participate in the Annual City Harvest Canned Food Campaign. The drive runs from Tuesday, October 23, 2018 and will continue until January 19, 2019. All Firehouses and EMS Stations have been designated as collection points for the public who wish to donate canned food. Members should also expect schoolchildren to be bringing donations to the Firehouses and EMS Stations. City Harvest will have trucks available in all five boroughs. City Harvest will pick up all types of canned, dry packaged food. City Harvest does not accept food packaged in glass or perishable food, i.e., meat, fruit, dairy.
