2 Civilians had Minor Injuries at Fire in Port Richmond

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Two people suffered minor injuries as the FDNY extinguished a pre-dawn fire on Tuesday morning on Castleton Avenue in Port Richmond.

The fire was called at 4:22 a.m. for a residential property at 1440 Castleton Avenue and brought under control at about 5:25 a.m., according to a spokesman for the FDNY/EMS.

The two injured civilians were not transported to a hospital, the FDNY/EMS spokesman said.

About 60 members and 12 units fought the "all-hands" blaze, according to the social media posts.
