WOODSIDE, QUEENS -- A Long Island Rail Road train derailed in Queens Wednesday afternoon, temporarily suspending service along the railroad's Port Washington branch, officials said.

The Port Washington train's axle derailed at about 1:15 p.m. just west of the railroad's Woodside station on Roosevelt Avenue near 61st Street, FDNY and LIRR officials said.

An FDNY spokeswoman said emergency personnel were responding to the derailment, but no injuries have been reported.

The incident temporarily suspended Port Washington Branch LIRR trains in both directions, officials said. NYC transit will cross-honor LIRR tickets on the subway at Penn Station and the 7 subway line at Woodside and Flushing/Main Street.
