Drop by Friends of Firefighters on Wednesday, July 11, between 8-11 AM for another delicious breakfast prepared by retired firefighter Tony Cat and friends at . As always, breakfast is free to all FDNY members, active and retired, and their families. No RSVP needed, just your company and appetite. For those unfamiliar with FoF services, the monthly breakfasts are a great way to see how they operate and tour the main facility, a circa 1870's firehouse in Red Hook, Brooklyn.
FDNY VS. LONDON METRO PD IN CHARITY BOXING EVENT
On Friday, July 13, 2018, the FDNY Bravest Boxing team will take on the London Metro Police Boxing team for the Transatlantic Championship. The third annual 'Thrilla in Camilla' will be held outdoors and under the stars at St. Camillus Church, . There are 12 exciting bouts scheduled. Doors open at 6 PM and first bout is at 7 PM sharp. Proceeds from this event benefit Building Homes for Heroes. This organization builds mortgage free, handicap accessible homes for our veterans returning home with severe injuries. On Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at 1100 hours, a Plaque Dedication will be held honoring the memory of Firefighter Thomas J. Farrell, L-41, who died on March 25, 2016. The dedication will take place in the quarters of E-90/L-41, . All off-duty members and their families are invited to attend. Members are requested to attend in dress uniform.

On Wednesday, July 25th, from 6-9 PM, join Friends of Firefighters at for a firefighter-prepared dinner followed by an in-depth presentation on the application and admissions process for FDNY firefighters curious to learn more about pursuing a higher education degree. Hear from Fire Marshal Matt Donnelly, UFA Fire Marshal Rep Steven Tagliani, and Chuck Frank, Director of Emergency Management and Business Continuity at Metropolitan College, all of whom will be on hand to help gather your resources, establish your plan, and answer any questions you may have.
