95-Year-Old Woman Dies in Two-Alarm Fire in Brooklyn, FDNY Says

A 95-year-old woman died in a two-alarm fire at a home in Brooklyn on Saturday, officials said. Two homes in Canarsie, at 1358 and 1362 East 93rd Street, were on fire when officials responded to the scene on Saturday afternoon, police and the FDNY said. Anna Barthelemy, who lived at 1358 East 93rd Street, was found in the basement of her home after the fire was extinguished, the NYPD said. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Another person and a firefighter both sustained minor injuries in the fire, according to the FDNY.
